ANDY- Tell me a little about what you've been doing lately?
JANE- It has been a very busy time for me. I recently did a wonderful play called THE MERCY SEAT in Melbourne for 6 weeks. I also recently launched my new CD “The devil has my double”with the band Sir. It was a big success and we have a launch coming up in Sydney and then back to Melbourne for the Spiegeltent and hopefully on to Glasgow in April. I recently shot a pilot for a new sci-fi series called “Resistance” It has been a wonderful and creative year

ANDY- What kind of music are you making? If you had to compare it to something what would you compare it to?
JANE- It is moody, raunchy, theatrical and a bit tongue in cheek. Definitely a bit of Julie Cruise, a musician that David Lynch often uses, a bit of Marianne Faithful and a dash of Shakespeare Sisters.

ANDY- How can fans get information on what you're up to, where you'll be performing, etc?
JANE- If fans want to get in touch, I use myspace where all upcoming gigs are posted and they can listen to and purchase my cd and see what I’ve been up to.


ANDY- Can you tell us a little about how you got chosen to play the part of Diana in "V"?
JANE- I was doing a soap opera in new York called “The Doctors” when I was flown out to LA to test for the role of Diana. They had seen alot of actresses and still had not found the right person. I remember going in and meeting the director… I thought it went very well and he seemed very interested, but it wasn't until I went back to my hotel room and I saw a note slipped under my door that said “Don't leave town.” that I knew the role of Diana was truly mine.


ANDY- What did you think of the concept when you first heard it?
JANE- I thought the concept was very, very exciting… like nothing I had ever seen. Very original and grand. I was thrilled to be a part of tv history.

ANDY- How long did it take to film the first film? The second?
JANE- I think it took a couple of months to shoot the first one and three months to shoot the second. It is hard to remember, I only worked 10 days on the first one and I had a much bigger part in the second one.

ANDY- What was your favorite part about playing Diana?
JANE- All the handsome young men and women I got to seduce. Kidding! It was so much fun to get all the bitchy lines and play a character with such utter self confidence and conviction.

ANDY- Were there any on set practical jokes?
JANE- I can't remember any jokes on set which surprises me when I think about it, as it really was the perfect set for it, especially the TV series.

ANDY- Was it a total shock that it turned into another film, then a tv series?
JANE- No it really wasn't a shock…not with the extraordinary popularity it had.

ANDY- Lastly, are you interested in the "Second Generation"? If you had to do it all over, would you?
JANE- I would love to be part of second generation. I sure hope I am and YES YES YES I would do it all over again.

4-PACK RELEASE DATE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH

Greetings, friends and welcome to our August Newsletter. There have been quite a few great newsworthy items that have been happening in the past few weeks! Thanks again for all of your support!

RELEASING OF THE FILMS: The day is finally upon us to release the films. On Tuesday, September 30th, we will be releasing 250 special editions of our “Movie Four Pack” Each DVD set will come Serial numbered, signed and will contain a nice booklet insert. The films included in the set will be MUD, I’M SORRY, 2, and MONSTER IN THE WOODS. The sets will retail for $49.95 + shipping and will be sold on a first come-first serve basis. In the future we may release more copies of the films, but never in this way again. This is a one-time deal and we wanted to make it special. THE ADVENTURES OF TEENI: We are now starting the Post Production process of The Adventures of Teeni. So far we have only put together a few scenes, but they are looking very good. Everyone did a great job and we can’t wait for you to see the progress. Expect a “Teaser Trailer” very soon.


WBLM/WCYY- This past month we worked with WBLM and WCYY in a variety of ways. First we filmed the rooftop performance of Dropkick Murphys performing live for the first time the song “The Chosen Few”. The video can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svvhq8SWi_0

Both bands put up links to the videos on their official websites. Then at the Big Easy we got to see the WBLM band perform once again. A video of this great event will be coming very soon!

PARANORMAL FILES: We’ve edited our Ghost Hunting series down to four episodes that will air each week in October. This series follows around professional “Ghost Hunters” and teaches the viewer about what tools you’ll need to start hunting your own ghosts. It also explores some of Maine’s “Haunted History” and finishes up the month by following the Ghost Hunters into one of Maine’s most haunted places for an official “Ghost Hunt”. Each new episode will be uploaded to youtube every Monday morning starting in October.

MOTION MEDIA WEBSITE: Our new website www.motionmediaentertainment.com is up and running. Please take a moment to visit and send us your feedback. It is still a work in progress, but eventually will be the umbrella website for all of our projects. Special thanks to Shane Trusty, our Webmaster who we highly recommend if you are in the market for a website.

FILM SCREENINGS: We’re currently looking to partner up with some of New England’s Movie Houses to show our films. If you own, or know of anyone who owns a theatre and might be interested, please email Andy at emptyhousefilm@gmail.com. We are also looking for someone who would like the opportunity to become our Booking Coordinator for these types of events.

INDEPENDENT FILM BOOTCAMP: Many of you have asked for it, and we figured out a very cool way to offer up some interesting film classes. The classes will consist of 15 people and run from November 1st to the 8th, each day 8-10 hours long. Each class would be a sort of “Boot camp” for Independent Filmmaking. We’ll take you from creating a story idea, to filming it, then editing it. At the end of the course, we’ll have created various “Viral Videos” that the world can see as well as a short film that can be entered into festivals, etc. and each participant will go home with a DVD of the completed work. This will be a class for all types of people who want to enter the world of filmmaking from actors to directors. Classes will be filled up on a first-come first served basis and will be $600 per person for the entire 7-day course. Email emptyhousefilm@gmail.com to sign up today as spaces are filling fast.

THE WRONG HOUSE: This September Motion Media Entertainment and Emptyhouse Film will be partnering up with Wisdumb Productions to shoot our sixth feature length film, titled “THE WRONG HOUSE”. It was written by Shawn French of Wisdumb Productions, will be co directed by Andy Davis and Shawn French, Executive Produced by Olin Smith and shot by Andy Davis. The film tells the brutal tale of a group of friends who decide to rob the “Wrong House” and the fates that befall them. A website for the film will be up soon at www.emptyhousefilm.com

STACEY’S COUNTRY JAMBOREE: This past month we completed work on the Stacey’s Country Jamboree Retrospective DVD. The DVD comes packaged with a bonus CD and is available to order at: www.staceyscountryjamboree.com
The Legend from the North is back for all of you who remember this popular series from the Bangor/Brewer area. The DVD/CD package showcases many of the highlights of this long-running series that featured amateur performers singing country and western songs. Long before American Idol and years before Star Search, this program ran longer than Gunsmoke and for those of you who remember, you just may see someone you know in it!

NEW TEAM MEMBER: Winston Brooks Parsons Sr., an investor of ours from our first feature length film MUD has joined Motion Media Entertainment as a member of management committee of Motion Media Entertainment. In the past, Brooks held the position of Senior Vice-President, Director of Dream Fulfillment at John Paul Mitchell Systems 1990-2006 and was in charge of all local radio, television and entertainment-celebrity events, charity events, sports marketing, special events, worldwide productions. Brooks currently also serves as President of The Winston Group,Ltd. a company that specializes in the placement of people and properties associated with the entertainment industry.

April Newsletter

Greetings, friends and welcome to our April Newsletter. There have been quite a few great newsworthy items that have been happening in the past few weeks! Thanks again for all of your support!


WBLM/WCYY- Motion Media/Emptyhouse Film have been named “Official Film Crew” of these great radio stations. We’ve been working together to come up with plenty of great ideas for video programming for them. This month, we’ll be launching a weekly series called “PARANORMAL FILES”, a show that will teach you how to hunt ghosts, track Sasquatches and look for UFO evidence. Stay posted for more exciting details! In February, we shot the grand opening of the new WCYY studio and got to film PUDDLE OF MUDD performing. RIOFAN: Our zombie film “2” has been chosen as an “Official Selection” for this great horror genre Film Festival that takes place from April 29th to May 10th in Rio De Janerio, Brazil. THE ADVENTURES OF TEENIE: We have been working like “dogs” on this new film about a girl and her dog. The film was written by Olin Smith and Al Lamanda, and Andy Davis will be directing. The cast has been chosen and will be announced very soon! We have also been working with a few gifted musicians for the soundtrack to the film. Teenie will shoot in May/June. A press release will be coming out soon with plenty of exciting details!

PARTNERSHIPS/BUSINESS PLAN: We’re very excited to announce that Motion Media has partnered with The Winston Group. The Winston Group was founded by Brooks Parsons Sr., who spent many years running the promotions department for the Paul Mitchell Company. Brooks will be working with us as our VP of Sales.

Our Business Plan is coming along and the past few months have been “meeting heavy” trying to put everything into place for the next four films and to create a package for potential investors to look at what we have done, what we want to do and what they can do to help. We’ve added some great people to our team, and once we have the business plan finalized, we’ll be making some big announcements.

DUNSTAN FALLS: Our screenwriter for the past two films, Al Lamanda has just received a great review on his latest novel “Dunstan Falls” from Publishers Weekly. We are all very excited for Al.

In addition, “2” was chosen as the first entry to be shown at the 2008 Zombie Film Fest in Seattle Washington. The festival will run in October and when we get more details, we’ll share them.

NEW OFFICE: We’re pleased to announce that we have a Portland presence again! We moved into The ED:IT Shop and will be using this office as a meeting place and for all of our Post-Production projects. We still have our Freeport office as well, and will be using that for Production and rehearsals. The new Portland office is located at 48 Free Street, 2nd floor.

IN THE WORKS: We been working on many great projects lately. Below, we’ll highlite a few.

1. “IRAQ” MUSIC VIDEO. This is a song by Dan Bernard, spoofing Amy Winehouse’s hit song Rehab. Olin shot the music video for it, and Roger at the ED:IT Shop is currently doing the editing on it. This will be up on youtube very soon!
2. DVD 4 PACK. We have been busy designing graphics for a DVD 4 pack that includes our last 4 films all in one DVD box for potential investors, distributors and reviewers to check out.
3. PARANORMAL FILES. If you enjoy the first episode, be sure to check every week for the latest episode in this fun, scary series. In future episodes, we visit one of Maine’s most haunted places and go on a real “Ghosthunt”.
4. TEENIE PROMOTIONS. There will be some exciting Teenie promotions coming up, including the chance for you and your dog to be in the film as well as some radio interviews about the film.
5. RADIO DOCUMENTARY. For the past few months, we’ve been working with a student at the SALT Institute, who will be producing a radio documentary about us, our films, and what we’ve been through to make them.
6. MOTION MEDIA WEBSITE. We are currently working on a new “web home” for our company that will house all of the films we have worked on and are currently working on. Our friend Shane Trusty at sabatos.net is doing all of the new design work.
